📱 In-App Deletion (Instant)
Open the Android app > Settings > Delete Account. Enter confirmation to permanently erase your profile immediately.
✉️ Direct Email Request
Send an email from your registered address to support@bookmysalonwala.com with subject “Account Deletion Request - [Your Mobile Number]”.
1. What Data Is Deleted?
Upon identity verification and confirmation of your deletion request, BookMySalonWala permanently deletes the following records:
Customer Accounts:
- Full name, email address, phone number
- Saved profile photos and location coordinates
- Booking history and appointment schedules
- FCM push notification tokens
- Saved favorite salons and service preferences
Salon Partner Accounts:
- Salon listing, gallery images, banner photos
- Staff profiles, stylist rosters, and schedules
- Service menus, categories, and custom pricing
- Active customer queue and waitlist entries
- Storefront operating hours and GPS coordinates
2. Statutory Data Retention (What Is Kept and Why)
Under Indian regulatory compliance and statutory mandates (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and GST statutory laws), certain limited records must be retained:
- Financial & Tax Records (GST Invoices): Invoices, payment transaction IDs, and commission metadata must be retained for up to 36 months to comply with Indian Goods and Services Tax (GST) and accounting audit mandates.
- Security, Fraud Prevention & Legal Claims: Anonymized transaction hashes and records associated with disputed transactions or active legal disputes are retained strictly until resolved to prevent fraudulent account re-creation.
3. Processing Timeline
- Acknowledgment: Within 24-48 hours of form submission.
- Verification: An OTP or confirmation email will be sent to verify identity.
- Permanent Erasure: Completed within 30 days of verification.
